Hi Su,
Things are going great with Winnie! She figured out the dog door on the first day and is getting used to her new surroundings! We LOVE her and so do Daisy and Spirit – Max (the cat) is still on the fence…
Thanks for all your help!
I guess I am just a big softie

We are absolutely thrilled with our little canine friend. We call him Scout.. or puppy puss or beaglo. David whistles and he comes running. Like us, the grandchildren think that he is the best. He is learning to play, in very short bursts, and looks so funny with his ears flopping as he leaps and bounds.

A couple of weeks ago I found a tick attached to Scout’s throat, which really distressed me. There is a lot of confusing information about ticks on line but the info for removing them is clear. I removed the tick and called our vet. She told me not to worry. If Scout showed symptoms (fever, loss of appetite, weakness in legs) then we would treat him with antibiotics. Revolution not only prevents heart worm but apparently will kill ticks. We will for sure start the Revolution treatments before tick season begins again in the spring.
Thanks Sue for connecting us with this little guy.
