The $450 donation made for adopting a rescue goes to pay for vet fees and medications we incur to ensure the dog you adopt is as healthy as possible. Those donations go directly to the vets and pounds so more dogs are able to be rescued. We cap our donation request even though 90% of the dogs cost us well in excess of those donations. Please don’t try to ask us to lower fees ‘cuz you can’t afford it’ or ‘it’s a small dog’ – vets don’t care what size the dogs is or your income. they charge what they charge and we pay it. Also, please don’t ask for a payment plan. All you’re telling us is that if your dog gets sick it’s likely to be returned as you won’t be able to afford it.
