for the love of dog wellness centre

The $450 donation made for adopting a rescue goes to pay for vet fees and medications we incur to ensure the dog you adopt is as healthy as possible. Those donations go directly to the vets and pounds so more dogs are able to be rescued. We cap our donation request even though 90% of the dogs cost us well in excess of those donations. Please don’t try to ask us to lower fees ‘cuz you can’t afford it’ or ‘it’s a small dog’ – vets don’t care what size the dogs is or your income. they charge what they charge and we pay it. Also, please don’t ask for a payment plan. All you’re telling us is that if your dog gets sick it’s likely to be returned as you won’t be able to afford it.

LotsaDogs  Rescue has partnered with Pet Secure to offer all our new pet parents a free six week trial of pet insurance.  This gives you peace of mind that your new friend is protected once they come home with you, and means that all the dogs who leave LotsaDogs Rescue are healthy AND insured.

Maybe be better not to give tips on how people should fill out their application/ask questions.
Now someone that may not have money will not ask you for a lower rate. If they did, you could have weeded them out. Dont give potenial “bad adopters” tips on what to say/ask etc.
People dont understand rescue and all their efforts. For the most part people with good hearts seek rescue dogs as their companions but once the focus is on the money, thats should be the end of their quest.
Good luck and keep up the great work
